My brother-in-law Andrew and my sister Alexandra at one of the caves of Sacromonte, with some gipsy playing and singing flamenco. This guy kind of sucked, plus he was absolutely hammered, but usually the people that play and sing are pretty good, especially considering that it's not like a concert or anything; they're just random people at random bars that decide to play and/or sing. Most of the time, others will start to do that flamenco clapping thing to accompany, and if there's a "cajon" around, someone'll start playing that, too. And if you're really lucky, the girl you went out with that night will turn out to be an expert flamenco dancer. She (Fanny) isn't in this picture, but she's in a few others. Posted by Picasa

Mesia and Fanny at some bar in Granada. Let me tell you about Granada. Each roughly 90 euro-cent beer you order comes with a tapa of your choice. All good, all free. 6 or 7 bucks gets you dinnner and a nice buzz. Then you hit the bars and/or clubs, where mixed drinks seldom exceed 4 or 5 euros and are usually around 3. Oh, and Sierra Nevada is 20 minutes away in one direction; the beach, 20 minutes in the other. When are we moving? Posted by Picasa

A cool shot of the low cloud cover. On a clear day, you can see Africa from here. Seriously. Posted by Picasa
